Sorrento is the central point for the arrival and departure of all visitors to the Sorrento Peninsula, with its harbour, the Marina Piccola from where they embark to reach the most beautiful parts of the Gulf of Naples: Capri, Ischia, Naples, Positano, Amalfi, Isles of the Mermaids. The main station of the Circumvesuviana, a small local train that departs from Naples and passes through all the towns around Vesuvius such as Torre del Greco, Torre Annunziata, Portici, Ercolano, Pompei and the final stop Sorrento.
